RMAN recover database to different server
1. confirm system type ,version number,version type(enterprise or standard)
kernal ,i386 or x86_64.
2. confirm oracle version number , version type(enterprise , standard) of source server and destination server
3. confirm environment value ,kernel parameter , ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_BASE, DATA_PATH
of destination server.
all the path should consistent with source server.
4. generate parameter file(pfile) in source server, and copy it to the same dictionary in destination server.
6. login RMAN in destination server –> restore pfile –> startup nomount –>
restore controlfile –> alter database mount–>restore database –> recover database–>
alter database open
If system remind there is a lack of logs during database recover,please perform incompleted recovery
just execute “alter database open resetlogs;”
